Privacy Policy

Last updated: [Month] [Day], 2026
The short version: BlinkGuard reminds you to blink. It doesn't watch you, doesn't use your camera, and doesn't send your data anywhere. Your settings and stats live in your own browser and stay there.

This policy explains what BlinkGuard (the "extension", "we", "us") does and does not do with your information. It applies to the BlinkGuard browser extension and the website at [your-domain.com]. We've kept it plain on purpose.

What the extension collects

Nothing about you is sent to us. BlinkGuard works entirely on your own device. To do its job, it stores a small amount of information locally in your browser:

All of this is held in your browser's chrome.storage.local. It is not transmitted to our servers, because the extension does not have any. If you remove the extension or clear your browser data, this information is gone.

What we do not collect

Payments and Pro

When you choose to unlock Pro, payment is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your full card details. Lemon Squeezy processes the transaction and provides us only with what's needed to confirm your purchase and honour refunds. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policy, available on the Lemon Squeezy website.

If you reach out for support after a purchase, you may share your email or order ID with us voluntarily. We use it only to help you, and we don't add it to any list.

The website

Our website may be served through a standard hosting provider (for example, a static host such as Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages, or similar). Such providers may keep basic, aggregated server logs (like IP addresses and request times) for security and reliability. We do not use these to identify you, and we do not run advertising trackers on the site. If we ever add privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics, we'll update this policy first.

Children

BlinkGuard is a general-audience comfort tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

Because your data stays on your device, you're in control of it directly. You can change or reset your settings in the extension at any time, clear your stats from the extension or your browser, or remove the extension entirely to erase everything it stored.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the extension or site handles data, we'll update this page and adjust the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
